All right, everybody welcome back! We are on episode 15 of  Witch Please! Sunshines Guide to the Mystical. And I’m excited we’re actually doing this a day earlier than normal. I am recording this or live streaming this on this the United States literal Thanksgiving and the reason why is I’m celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow with oh my goodness, I guess my new fam. My new extended family. It’s crazy. Yes. And so I took everything that I needed to do tomorrow. And I put it to today because I had today to do that. And so I’m pretty excited about today.
If you are listening to this, whether you know it doesn’t matter that it’s not Thanksgiving. But just please know that whether you’re watching or listening, just you know if you’re watching, maybe you can just close your eyes for today’s episode. Because as the sound of my voice is transmitting to you, I have put a little bit of a charge in this and I am just planting this seed right here and now with all of you because today’s episode is the vibration of gratitude.
And so we’re going to be talking about gratitude today. And that seed I am planting is this seed to encourage you to maybe think about consider, or actively jump, just feet first into a practice of gratitude. So like I said, I’m in the States. And so it’s Thanksgiving right now. And you know, some people today, they’re gonna be thinking about Thanksgiving, and they’re thinking about Turkey and touchdowns. Let’s be real. They’re thinking about making that Turkey that big dinner, sitting down, maybe watching a game. I didn’t read the article. But I guess you know, I live in Michigan, we’ve got the, you know, the beloved Detroit Lions. And I guess, Detroit happens to be the only place that actually broadcasts a live parade as well as has a football game on the day. And there was an article that I have not read that talked about why how that is.
So it’s a pretty big deal here in the metro Detroit area. I have been in the Thanksgiving Day Parade, I think three years. And it’s a phenomenal event. And so yeah, sometimes people are going to be thinking about Thanksgiving because of Turkey and touchdowns and parades. And then other people are gonna think about Thanksgiving as the horrific reminder of our very distorted history. I mean, let’s be real, my dear friends, if we really peel back the story of Thanksgiving, it is not exactly a very pleasant story. And so for me, I really like to take a step back, right, I’m a witch. And I like to think about that Thanksgiving in a much broader sense, and really around what this time of the year means.
So I’m gonna pause a little bit, and I’m going to share some stuff with you. And I’ve got notes over here. Right? The Wheel of the Year, we’ve come out of Halloween, we just saw in the very end of October, right, which is the very last harvest that we have. According to that wheel, that’s the last harvest like this is the last time if we were to go back to the day where we didn’t have a grocery store to just walk in and buy whatever a little, you know, we couldn’t buy candy or you know, I’m sorry, jellied cranberries, you know, you had to like grow them and pick them and all that kind of good stuff. And so really, at this particular point, if we think about it, our ancestors are the people that would have come before us, they didn’t have all these luxuries of technology, they wouldn’t be sitting here in this month, and they would be looking at their harvest, and they would be of the utmost gratitude of all of the work that they had put in throughout the year, to be able to help sustain them throughout the winter months, right.
So to me, yes, Thanksgiving, you know, cool, US created holiday, got it, but really, November, is this really, really beautiful time to express and to reflect and to look back and to just show the amount of gratitude that we have. And so, gratitude is an action or a practice. And as far as I you know, there may be folks out there that want to share their own commentary or anything like I believe, this is my belief that gratitude is one of the most surefire ways to raise your vibration. There’s all sorts of ways that you could do it, but like an act of a practice of gratitude can take you on that vibrational scale up each of those scales. For every 30 days, if you were at the lowest vibrational like emotional vibration of like fear and anger and shame, and you started to practice a legitimately did a practice of gratitude every single day. My belief is you would see your your own vibrational state your life transform, right, just through that practice of gratitude.
And so I’m going to share with you some of the things that I’m grateful for today, right, just as a way for me to express that because I think sometimes too, also, I’m sharing this not just for me. I’m sharing this because I think sometimes people are like, what do I have to be grateful for? Especially if you’re in those dark places, right? If you are swirling swirling and tornadoes and whirlpools of, of like shame and guilt, it may be hard to find gratitude. And so gratitude can be just, you know, you can in those darkest moments, like I am grateful. I am grateful that I’m still here trying can be you know, enough every single day. I’m grateful. And I remember early in the early parts of my recovery, just being just being great. Before that, I found the courage to admit that I had a problem like that was it that was all that carried me through in the beginning.
I mean it was even my first sponsor in AAA only sponsor, because I had a hard time finding a sponsor, which was crazy to say, the very first thing that she did with me, she, she gifted me a gratitude journal and encouraged me to sit down and write 10 things that I was grateful for every single day. And it was hard in the beginning, it really was. And I mean, it was repetitive. I was grateful for my kitties, I was grateful for a warm blanket, I was grateful for a roof over my head. I mean, it was like these very basic things. So I’ll share some of the things now. And you know, and I kind of broke this up, like, there are some concepts that I’m grateful for. And the very first one I’m kind of talking about, I’m very grateful for my recovery. I’m very grateful that over four years ago, I finally admitted and was admitted that I had a problem and it was willing, willing, willing to ask others for help, willing to try to surrender and eventually learn that surrendering was the right way.
So my recovery, and on that particular note, I’m also very, very grateful for my own spiritual practice. Stepping into recovery, really unleashed, unlocked a lot of these beautiful spiritual practices that I have now here today, that I believe have has led me to feeling like I have a very beautiful, beautiful life. And so for that, I’m very grateful for this life that I have.
I have a very few things in my life that I regret, very few things, there’s a handful of them, but there’s very few. And even though I may have the feeling of regret, I still know and appreciate the lessons that I’ve learned along the way. So in one breath, like, there is some regret. But on the flip side, I really know I wouldn’t be who I am today without all the steps before me. I’m also very grateful for my ability to teach and mentor and the patience that I have to try to learn and explore how somebody else best learns, and absorbs information so that I can shape and shift the way that I teach and instruct for that. So I’m very grateful for that. And I’m grateful for this insatiable thirst for knowledge. I want to know more, I want to learn more, I’m very curious, I’m very inquisitive. And I’m grateful that I’m willing to keep exploring.
There’s some people that I’m grateful for, I’m very grateful for my ancestors, I think I shared that this past week, in one of the emails that I may have sent. I’m grateful for all of them surrounding me and protecting me and all the beautiful support that they provide. Very grateful for my partner, we’ve been together just over two years, and it’s the slowest relationship that I’ve had, and also the most beautiful, and I’m so grateful that we’ve been able to get to know each other into and are still getting to know each other. I really adore that. I’m grateful for my niece, she’s 18 years old, graduated high school this past spring, and moved in with me to go to college. And I’m getting to see the world from this young adults eyes. And I love it, and I adore it very much.
But I also get to see some of that wonderment that she has watching me, so I kind of think of that relationship as being someone that holds me accountable for my integrity. I’ve got someone looking up to me. I’m very grateful for my spiritual family.  I’m grateful for my family. I’ve been doing a lot of healing on things, a lot of healing and understanding exploring a why. And so I have a lot of forgiveness there. And I’m very grateful that my family, my actual biological family has respected me enough to allow me the opportunity in the space to heal, because they could have made this a lot more difficult for me, but they haven’t. So I’m grateful for that.
And I’m grateful for the spiritual family that had met along the way that I’ve been able to lean on throughout this healing journey as I continue to grow and evolve as my own individual self, and for that matter, I am very grateful for everyone that loves and supports me in my personal life and my business life and in everywhere. And there’s some things that I’m grateful for. As well, I am incredibly grateful for the team and the folks, here within Sunshine Readings in the business, there’s also just how we work together, how we communicate, how we support each other, how we lift each other up, like I’m very grateful, both from the business side, as well as the program, just how much this feels so beautifully aligned for everyone, I just am I’m very grateful for that.
I’m grateful that I have a corporate job that’s been able to support me and provide for me and my family, while we continue to grow the business and move into being able to do all of this amazing, you know, spiritually based work. That’s the path is to get to that point. And for that matter, I’m also very grateful just for everything that I have right here. And now I have a home, I have a car, I’m able to pay my bills, I’m able to put food on the table. Even though there are things that I am working towards, I am so grateful for every single thing that I have here now today, right from the roof over my head to the cup of coffee in front of me to internet to you know, Wi Fi went to everything, I’m so filled with gratitude in this in this life that I truly believe I’ve been blessed with, I really do.
And you may be wondering, like, hey, sunshine, why are you sharing, like, that’s cool. And you just shared all of that gratitude. And so, here’s the thing, as I’m sharing those things, I told you in the beginning, to put this seed and I put a little bit of magic into this podcast that every single one of those things that I said and express that resonated with you that you agreed with, we just went ahead and gave you a little bit of a vibrational lift, you just rise rose up on your emotional vibration scale with me, as I said, all of those things. That’s as easy as it is. So why I’m sharing why I am sharing this with you, gratitude and the practice of gratitude. My belief is one of the most powerful, potent, magical acts that any one of us which is magicians, wizard, whatever you want to call yourself can do. Your magics not working. So try 30 days of gratitude before you try some type of magical work again.
You’re feeling shitty and low down, try 30 days of gratitude, try one thing of expression of gratitude every hour if you need it faster, every 15 minutes. It is one of the most potent and powerful vibration changers that you can engage in. That being said, if you were to go ahead and commit right here, and now from the moment that you were listening to this to 30 days of gratitude, and by 30 days of gratitude, I mean listing 10 things every single day, grab a piece of notebook paper, grab a post it note, I don’t care, grab your phone, put it in your notes, put a Facebook post and Instagram, post a TikTok, lists all that I don’t care how you do it. But if you committed right here and now to 30 days of gratitude. And did that consistently for 30 days, I guarantee you’ll start to see changes in your life, you’ll start to see changes in how you’re feeling and how you’re experiencing life, what’s coming towards you the messages that you’re seeing, and would not and even right now there will be some delightful surprise that also rains on your world, very delightful.
Because the fact of the matter is, my dear friends if you are willing to embrace those 30 days, then you very well may be willing to embrace a lifetime of gratitude. And if that is the case, then I can not only guarantee that you’ll start to see changes I will guarantee that those changes will bring more peace, more love more happiness, more hope, more joy, more prosperity. All of those things that you wish and desire to help you live a beautiful, amazing life will start to knock on your front door. So I hope you take me up on that offer.
